We are in the process of
working to create another fabulous season of exchanging knowledge of
process improvement across and between businesses and industries, and
networking with other business professionals. We are looking for team
leaders and volunteer staff for several key committees. Let us know
which of the below committees you might be interested in joining (or any
other role you'd like to play), to make 2014-2015 our best season ever!
Most committee meetings
are by phone and after working hours, and usually don't last more than
an hour. The frequency will be determined by the committees.
Communication between meetings is by email or phone or whatever
communication method works for each committee and its members.
Program: Propose and help find and schedule speakers. Possibly be the key contact for one or more speakers ensuring they are in sync with the plan for the date and location of the event, and helping coordinate with the Event committee on event day to get the Speaker set up.
Event: Help find and book venues; venue communications; speaker orientation to the meeting space, sound, and projector; reception (great for face time); refreshments; facilitate networking; respond as needed to make the meeting successful; cleanup.
Sponsorship: Identify prospective sponsors; introduce them to the idea and benefits of becoming sponsor; packages; work with the Board to seal the deal; help manage the relationship to ensure they get the value they expected or better, so they'll renew next season!
Marketing: Help us get the word out about NY SPIN and our events. Are you good at networking? Maybe you have a bit of marketing experience or want to get some. Maybe you are good at and can assist with using social media. All experience and enthusiasm welcome.
Interested? Please reply to this email, 2014Volunteer@nyspin.org, with "Volunteering" in the subject line, and provide your name, contact information including phone number, and the committee(s) you'd like to volunteer for.
Thank you.
